Confess and Believe
“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” - Romans 10: 9 Main Idea - Confession is an outward expression of an inwards conviction - The Gospel cannot be kept silent, if a heart has truly been changed by it Confession, the outward expression of an inwards conviction. The Gospel cannot be kept silent. The greatest news of all time, the transformation of dead sinners to a new life in Christ. The Gospel produces an everlasting joy inside the believer, that cannot be kept silent, but is to be shared with everyone. | ![]() Alpha + Omega |
A heart truly moved by the grace of Jesus Christ does not remain the same, it cannot remain the same. As God brought us from being dead in our sins [Ephesians 2] to new life with Him, we are filled and satisfied in the joy of being a child of God. The work of Christ on the cross is what truly brings salvation to the believer. Mere confession of Christ does not save, but a heartfelt belief in the saving work of Christ draws a confession out of the abundance of gratitude within a believer's heart.
