Peace in the Chaos
Psalm 46:1-2
When all is crashing down, where do you put your trust? When life is not going your way, where do you look? The reality is that in this fallen world there will be great trouble, pain and suffering. Fear is one of the greatest ways the enemy attacks us. The enemy may instill in our minds a fear that God cannot save, or provide. Whatever it may be, we feel stuck. We feel helpless until we look to the Lord for protection. | ![]() |
Psalm 46:1–2
[1] God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
[2] Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, (ESV)
![]() | Psalm 46 brings this idea that God is a PRESENT refuge, not some distant God that does not know what is going on. He is a God who knows the reality of what it is like living in this broken world, as Jesus Christ suffered in this world. He knows this reality far greater than we ever will and calls us to come to Him, finding refuge and perfect peace in who He is. When our eyes are off our situation and onto the Lord, we will have no fear. As you may be going through battle, may be living in fear, RUN to the Lord. Find perfect peace in the character of God. Respond with any questions, prayer requests, or encouragement! In Christ, Josh Hernandez |
