Main Idea - Sin has a cost, our own life. Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection pays that cost for us. The gift is free, not based on anything we have done, but purely by the work of Christ

A wage, payment, debt. The weight and cost of our sin has a price, our own life. In Romans 5 we see how Jesus died for the ungodly, but what does this death accomplish? While our sin separates us from a holy and righteous God, we are left to face His wrath, a just punishment for a disobedience so great as ours.

Obedient Unto Death

The work of Jesus Christ on the cross, the death and resurrection from the dead, satisfied the entire wrath of God, by placing the debt me and you owe, onto a perfect and blameless sacrificial Lamb, Jesus Christ. The work of Christ completely satisfies every past, present, and future sin, as long as you put your faith in Him as the only one who could ever save, and turn from your current sinful life in repentance, to a life of delight and obedience in Jesus Christ.

Nothing but the blood

 A gift that no one could ever earn, but a gift out of love and mercy from a loving Father. 

How often do you feel captivated by your sin? How often do you feel captivated that if you are in Christ, your sin has been removed?
